The project Religion, culture and otherness Belgian/Flemish migrants in Northern France and Paris (1850-1960) will focus on the determinants, the evolutions and the processes in the construction of identities of Belgian migrants who permanently settled in France between 1850 and 1960. A central question is to what extent religion did play in this an identity-determining role.
